Can Forums get a like/dislike button like most social media sites?

For some posts/threads I don't have much to say. Feels spammy just to say "nice" or "cool"... but if there was a like button, people here would know if I liked a post.

ZeldaUniverse had this feature for a while, so I'm sure it can be done.. just not sure how easy it would be to implement.

i was looking into that actually.  We did have a reputation feature back on VB that functioned simliarlly,

Right now I've still in the battle with the insurance company to ge the pills i need to actually be abel to sleep at night (I;m normally a day time sleeper.)  So I;ve put what effort i can into gettin gthe site back up, and then getting the home page re-done so we cn relaunch properly>

But so far, as far as the forum upgrades go, you have the only 2 requests in.  this would probably be easier then the arcade at any rate.

I think SMF has a reputation system by default, I just never turned it on because people get butthurt about popularity being higher with other members, easily. After the debacle with Lady Venom, I definitely wasn't keen on dealing with it, again.
Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.

reputation is different then like.  there should be a thanks mod, that only allows for positive interactions, I'll take a look at it, right now, I've been swamped with work, now I;m swamped with cleaning

I'm not thinking of a rep system.. there shouldn't be a reward for getting likes. The main purpose should just to cut down on spam.

Actually since I set the new verification system, with the answers being common knowledge rather the answer in the question haven't had a single damn  bot....
